On December 23, the Indian government declared that the One Rank One Pension (OROP) plan would be revised. 4.52 lakh additional recipients have been added to the list, according to the most recent news. The new total of OROP Pension recipients is 25,13,000.
This OROP Revision will take effect on July 1, 2022. This OROP amendment will apply to retired members of the armed forces who have served until June 30, 2019, excluding pre-mature (PMR) retirees who left on July 1, 2014.

OROP New Pension Table 2023 (Revised)
The One Rank One Pension (OROP) Revision was approved after the appeal for an extension of time for the OROP Scheme Pension Arrears Payment until March 15, 2023.
The OROP Scheme states that the future pension of past pensioners will be guaranteed based on the minimum and maximum averages of their pensions among Defense Forces retired officers with the same rank and duration of service in 2019.
Not all ranks are included in this table for OROP II pension. The administration will probably announce a new table. When there are updates, we will update the same accordingly.

Four half-yearly payments will be made to cover any arrears. All family pensioners, including those who already receive Special or Liberalized Family Pension and Gallantry Award Winners, will, nevertheless, get their back pay in a single instalment.
According to the applicable dearness relief, the arrears with effect from July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2022, have been assessed at Rs 23,638 crore.
About One Rank One Pension Implementation
The Indian government has introduced the One Rank One Pension (OROP) policy, which attempts to guarantee that retired military personnel of the same rank and years of service receive the same pension, regardless of the year in which they retired.
