The conducting organization (IIT Kanpur), along with the official brochure, registration date, and application form dates, announced the Gate Exam Date 2023 at the official website @gate.iitk.ac.in. For 29 disciplines across India, the GATE test will be offered on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023.

IIT Kanpur will be the GATE 2023 organizing committee. The Gate Exam 2023 will be administered in 219 Indian cities and 8 locations abroad. A separate exam is held for each of the 29 papers. Yearly, there are more than 9 lakh candidates appearing for the GATE examination.

The Gate Exam Date 2023 is scheduled for February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023. The GATE 2023 exam will be hosted by IIT Kanpur. On January 3, 2023, the admit card will be made available. The GATE 2023 answer key will be available on the official website @gate.iitk.ac.in on February 21. The GATE 2023 results will be made public on March 16, 2023. Candidates can take the GATE 2023 exam in one or at most two papers.

How to Rectify the GATE 2023 Application Form?

Corrections can be made by logging in. The following directions for the rectification must be followed by applicants:

  1. Click on the link to the official website, gate.iitk.ac.in.
  2. Click on “GATE 2023 alteration.”
  3. Enter your login information, including your enrolment ID and password.
  4. After resolving the mathematical expression, press the “Submit” button.
  5. Edit your application now and make the necessary adjustments.
  6. To use the application in future, print it out.

GATE Exam Pattern 2023

Multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-selection questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions are all included in the GATE exam format. There is no negative marking for questions with numerical questions, but there is for multiple-choice questions. Let’s look at the important details of the GATE exam pattern in the table below:

In papers AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL, there is a different distribution of marks: general aptitude is for 15 marks, while subject questions are worth 85 marks, for a total of 100 marks.

Marking Scheme:

  • For each incorrect response on MCQs worth one mark, one-third of the mark from the total score will be deducted.
  • For MCQs worth two marks, one-third of a mark will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
  • There is no negative marking for Multiple Select Question (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
  • Wrong responses will result in a deduction of 1/3 of the total marks, or (0.33) for questions worth 1 mark and (0.66) for questions worth 2 points. Incorrect responses to NAT questions will not result in a mark deduction.

  • Applicants may participate in a maximum of two of the 29 papers available for GATE 2023.
  • On the basis of the paper combinations shown below, candidates may choose to take the primary paper and a different paper as their secondary paper.

GATE Exam Admit Card 2023

Before the test, on January 3, 2023, a link to download the GATE admit card will be released on the official website. The GATE 2023 admit card will be distributed to applicants by IIT Kanpur, the GATE’s hosting organization.

To correct any errors in the candidates’ personal information listed on the admit card, the admit card must be downloaded in advance. To download your GATE, admit card, you need your GOAPS Enrollment ID and password. To enter the exam hall, you must have your admit card with you.
